Fleas are everywhere! They are especially populous during the spring. The warmer temperature and higher humidity levels provide them the perfect breeding environment. Somehow, they always manage to get on our pet cats, even if they are indoor only cats. There is good news, though. Arm yourself with the following and you will be flea free!
Diatomaceous earth is an excellent flea preventive, deterrent, and killer. Used and applied properly, it is safe for you, your cats, and your kids. It works by piercing the outer skeleton of fleas. The fleas then die from dehydration and of course the wounds. It’s very powerful! Fleas know what it is and will steer clear of it.
Advantage is an excellent product. It works! Apply it monthly and you will never see fleas again. Test it first as some cats can have an allergic reaction to it. Some buy the larger sizes for dogs and just divide it to the appropriate amount for their cats’ weights. The manufacturer, however, does not recommend doing so.
Vacuum Properly
Vacuum regularly to keep your home clean and free from any flea eggs that may have hitchhiked their way inside via your shoes or clothes.
